Weems Plantation is a small area that is hidden in the lush greenery of Tallahassee, Florida. Close by to the State Capitol, fantastic schools and great restaurants, Weems Plantation is an area that is coveted by home owners for its picturesque setting and convenient location. Like Betton Hills, Weems Plantation is run by the efforts of its residents, the Weems Plantation Homeowners Association and their board of volunteers. The surrounding area is enclosed with conservation property. Weems Plantation is a host to neighborhood get-togethers that really set the tone for that old school American vibe of friendly neighbors, cookouts and novel events such as a light decorating competition during the holidays.
Weems Plantation, and the subsequent Gardens of Weems, were developed off of Weems Road from the later years of the 1990s to early 2000s. This would culminate in a neighborhood of three hundred and seventy-eight homes that lie close to Tom Brown Park and other recreational areas. In 2012, it won the city of Tallahassee’s Neighborhood of the Year in the large neighborhood category. The Weems Plantation Homeowners Association continue to overlook any and all growth for the neighborhood.
Weems Plantation sits near Tom Brown Park and is cradled in a lush, garden-like area in northeastern Tallahassee, Florida. It is conveniently close to the State Capitol, several venues, restaurants, shopping and several highly rated schools.
